IN THE TRICHOME JUNGLE WITH FRESH BAKED CANNABIS
If you’ve ever been in a grow room, you know it’s a magical experience. The smells wafting through your nasal passages usually triggering giant smiles. Of all the cannabis industry jobs we come across, growers seem to be the most stoked on their career paths. They carry huge grins up and down the aisles while passionately sharing what stages their rooms are in. We dropped by one of our favorite facilities to chop it up with Fresh Baked grow ops manager Avery and shoot some photos one day prior to a room tear-down.
Avery a.k.a. Slavery Baker has been running daily grow facility operations for Fresh Baked under well-known grower Krd. Fresh Baked launched in 2018 and hit the scene running with their now well-known Apple and Cherry Fritter strains. One glance at the comments on their Instagram page and you’ll see that this boutique cannabis grown in Long Beach, California can’t keep their product on the shelves. Krd and Avery have done an amazing job at keeping the quality and consistency of their top-tier flower. Each plant is hand-tended and watered to ensure it gets the love and attention needed to reach its potent potential.
On this particular day, Fresh Baked was prepping to tear down a room full of Ice Cream Cake, Cherry Fritter, and their Blow Pops strain collab with Envy Genes. We pulled up to take macro photos of the wet nugs while the trichomes were still perky and full before the drying process. The frosty buds were shimmering like a disco ball of the reflection of the studio lights. Thru the lens, you could see the vibrant purple underneath the canopy of mushrooms shaped trichomes. Swimming through the forest of trichomes in our LCD screen took us away from the craziness of the outside world, slowing down time as we zoomed in and across the fibers of the plant.
We thoroughly enjoyed getting in the Fresh Baked cannabis grow to shoot these ultra macro shots of such quality flowers. Working directly with Avery in one of our favorite facilities is always a pleasure. If you come across their flower at your local dispensary we highly recommend grabbing an 8th. Make sure to follow their IG account to stay up on their current strains and drops.
